I collaborated with Fandango again to celebrate Halloween. Seriously, how cute is this little girl? She’s my friend’s youngest daughter, and just the sweetest little thing. We both had so much fun playing dress up and playing make believe. The movie Inside Out is certainly a great movie to ‘act out’. The film focuses on the different emotions of a little named Riley – Joy, Disgust, Sadness, Anger and Fear. Once the wigs came on, the real fun began, especially with Disgust.
Be Disgust, Joy or Sadness for Halloween
To create this look, I used the Kryolan Color wheel (green) and L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Le Matte Lip Pen in pink. I got the wig at a local Halloween store and used the belt from a robe for the scarf! It’s all about being creative and using things you already have. Instead of buying a costume, we just used a dress my little model already owned.
The pixie wig for Joy is too cute, isn’t it? It was another Halloween store find. The dress was hers as well. I used the yellow shade found in the Kryolan Color wheel. As you can tell, I did not go heavy on the color. A hint is enough if your child is very young. Otherwise, there will be face paint everywhere. For the eyes and lips, I used L’Oreal Paris Infallible eye crayon Always Aqua and L’Oreal Paris Colour Riche Le Matte Lip Pen in pink.
For Sadness, I mixed Kryolan Color wheel‘s white and blue to create a softer blue tone. The glasses and wig were a Halloween store find. However, I did have a hard time finding a blunt cut blue wig, so I actually used the Blueberry Muffin’s wig and tucked in the hair under the net with hair pins to create a bob effect.
If you like these looks, I created a collage for you to pin!
